Yamnuska -- correct full name "Mount John Laurie

(Îyâmnathka)" -- is located about 65 km west of

Calgary, Alberta. "Yamnuska" is an informal

Anglicized version of the Nakoda (Stoney, Sioux)

name for the peak, Îyâmnathka.

Ben has written extensively about Yamnuska. It is

the setting for Raven's End, his best-selling novel.
